ANKARA INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND RIGHTS COURT REJECTED THE SUIT OF MIGROS FOR INVALIDATION OF MAKRO TRADEMARK BELONG TO MAKRO TEKNIK
The cancellation of registration of MAKRO trademark registeration in the name of Macro Teknik in the Ankara Intellectual and Industrial Rights Tribunal has been concluded in favor of Makro Teknik. In the hearing on 7 June, the Court rejected Migros' claims. Macro Teknik's lawyer Mr. Yağmur KUTLUCAN who is founder and partner of Avrupa Patent said that the classes of the MAKRO trademark registered on behalf of Migros are different from those of the Makro Teknik brand, and this brand of the Makro Teknik has been registered since 2001 and that the right to acquire is there for this reason.
