The Protocol on the Madrid Treaty, which entered into force on 1 December 1995, has been implemented in our country as of 1 January 1999. With this Protocol it will be possible to obtain International Registration for the trademarks of Turkish companies. There are 100 member countries.

Trademark registration certificate or application documents in Turkey.
Power of attorney.

THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF THE INTERNATIONAL TRADE REGISTRATION:
1- The goods and services to be used by the mark can be specified on a single application.
2- The international application must be based on a registration or filed application in Turkey. The international registration will be dependent on the application filed or registered in Turkey for 5 (five) years.
Therefore, if the Turkish application or registration is invalid, the international registration will lose its validity. However, with the end of five years, international registration will become independent.
3. The cost of international registration can be determined after the determination of the countries and the wage table is presented on the attachments. The fees are paid in Swiss Francs and the Turkish Patent Institute in Turkish Liras.
4. Any international office shall be notified of the acceptance or rejection of the mark by the end of the 12 or 18 month period, whichever is earlier than the date of filing of the application. At the end of this workshop you will find out in which countries the trademark owner's trademark is registered or rejected.
5 - The international trademark registration period is 10 years from the date of application and can be renewed at the end of this employment.
6- If the protocol is subsequently introduced, existing registration fees may be paid and made available in these countries.
